How fun was that!
Yay, the Atlantis people actually honored agreements with allies without betraying anyone! Maybe they are redeemable after all.
And Rodney did his wonderful 'Sheppard is in trouble and could die momentarily' face. But you got him back, Rodney- you always do!
And the horrible fear of Sheppard getting older, though we knew he would be okay. I suspected it would happen just like it did. Has there been a fanfic where a Wraith reverses the aging?
And my special squee: Is it like they read Cages, or what? The ambush! Sheppard and a Wraith held in cages next to each other - even the vertical bars between them. And the partial feedings. That gave me such a kick!
Also fun was the beginning of 'Progeny', when I thought for a minute that they had found The Lost Colony from my story. Almost! *G*
It's cool when you're great mind is thinking like the show writers.
EDIT: Just watched it again. Also squee for the dispair on Kolya's face when he heard that John was still alive. Oh, he's having a rough time of it! He's a great villian, but this trick, feeding Sheppard to a Wraith in order to get Atlantis to send him Ladon was just cowardly. Couldn't he come up with a better plan than that?
And just the visual of John being fed upon by the wraith! The pain of it! It's a super-thrill for an angst-lover like me.
And really, Elizabeth did very well this time making and sticking to decisions, much better than usual. I loved her speech about why Ladon was still alive.
And Carson's intense concern about John. It must be so hard to watch something like that and not be able to help.
I did have some quibbles with Ronon's characterization this time. It was almost like he was playing up being menacing for effect. He can be passionate, but he was really acting like a dog who pulls at his leash. He generally knows his place better than that and doesn't overstep when his 'superiors' are present. Not a big quibble, though.
And we didn't see much of Teyla this episode - except her cleavage. Great shirt!
