Title: The Lost Colony
Author: Joolz
Category: Gen, Crossover, Drama, H/C
Pairing: None
Word count: 26,000
Rating: R for some violence and brief nudity
Season/Spoilers: SGA – 2nd-ish, no spoilers / Numb3rs – 2nd-ish, no spoilers
Notes: This is not my usual angst fest (well, there is a little bit). It’s more an enjoyment of some lovely characters and buddy-fic. I want the whole Numb3rs cast to move to Atlantis. There’s just a touch of SG-1 in there as well. Many thanks to valiant betas Lady Ra and Jenn. I take full blame for the final product.
Summary: Stargate Atlantis / Numb3rs crossover. In the Pegasus Galaxy they’ve found a puzzle that only one man can solve. The Eppes brothers go traveling.
Disclaimer: Not my lovely characters, just playing with them.
Warnings: None in particular, past the rating

I loved the interaction between Rodney and Charlie - heck - between the brothers and everyone. And Don as Elizabeth's Chief of Staff was a priceless idea.

Thanks for the review, it's good to hear what worked well for you.

The way you fit both Eppes brothers into Atlantis' social structure! Brilliant! Especially how you made Rodney and Charlie instant best buddies instead of rivals! Yes! And Don! Getting Elizabeth's paperwork dumped on him, heehee. Running with John and Ronon - what an image!
And now Alan will join them?! Oh, Joolz, you better are already writing a sequel! ...*eyeballs you*
Erm, ignore the mfor part of those exclamation marks, I was very enthusiastic and anyway it's all your fault.

I loved the scene where Rodney confesses to John that he gets lonely not being able to talk to someone on his level. Even with all the intelligent people around him, they still can't keep up. No wonder Rodney yells at them, he must be so frustrated when people can't see what he sees. And just imagine how lonely he must have felt as a child, when he probably wasn't ever in his own peer group.
Lovely scene with John and Don talking about "their" geeks. John explaining the reason for his friendship with Rodney and the family they made for themselves on Atlantis. Nice!
The scene with Ronon and Don was wonderful. Ronon actually saying more than a sentence! And showing the intense loyalty we've seen on the show.
Showing John's "dark side" when he saw what happened to the people he's sworn to protect, that was great, too.
I think I'll stop now, or I'm going to cite every scene you wrote!
Seems this crossover was meant to be, doesn't it? Charlie the math genius and Don already in service to his country as an FBI agent.
There are so few long gen fics out there compared to the slash ones. I like the slash as well as anyone else (and if you go that way in future installments I wouldn't object 8-) ), but a good gen fic is a lovely thing to behold.
Thanks for sharing.

On a side note, I'd just like to say how much I enjoy your fic, Alchemy. That is one mighty fine TS/SG-1 crossover.

The building of friendship between the Eppes brothers and the Atlantis teams and their integration into one solid team.
Again I just loved the whole thing.

Just wanted to tell you how much I loved your story! You made these two fandoms fit together perfectly. Might be fun with a story where Don and Charlie have to go back to Earth and work together with Don's old team. Maybe one of the scientist had some trouble or something?

I love both fandoms mostly because of the team interactions and you brought the characters and their relations out so well I just have to love you *lol*
Charlie and Rodney being friends , John and Dons late night musings ,Ronon as a friend and so much more that was great (also the lenght of the storie )...
Hope you find the muse for a sequel and thanx for sharing :)
