Totally chuffed to have won a Numb3rs Award!  Especially when I get a gorgeous winner's button like this.  Is it amazing, or what?

It's for a Don/Charlie fic, Rhapsody.  Made my day!
All winners here.

I don't know when the results were posted, but I just discovered that The Lost Colony won a Numb3rs Award for Best Gen Crossover.  It's especially exciting because though I've had stories nominated for awards many times, none have ever won.  There's a first time for everything - yay!
Title: The Lost Colony
Author: Joolz
Category: Gen, Crossover, Drama, H/C
Pairing: None
Word count: 26,000
Rating: R for some violence and brief nudity
Season/Spoilers: SGA – 2nd-ish, no spoilers / Numb3rs – 2nd-ish, no spoilers
Notes: This is not my usual angst fest (well, there is a little bit). It’s more an enjoyment of some lovely characters and buddy-fic. I want the whole Numb3rs cast to move to Atlantis. There’s just a touch of SG-1 in there as well. Many thanks to valiant betas Lady Ra and Jenn. I take full blame for the final product.
Summary: Stargate Atlantis / Numb3rs crossover. In the Pegasus Galaxy they’ve found a puzzle that only one man can solve. The Eppes brothers go traveling.
Disclaimer: Not my lovely characters, just playing with them.
Warnings: None in particular, past the rating

Since the file is large, the link is to the story on my website.  Please do come back and leave a comment!

Read The Lost Colony

I'm blaming it entirely on the crack!fic challenge and a night of particularly bad insomnia.  I wrote this bizarre little story and it's... er, tentacle!porn.  Ah-hem!  That's right, I said tentacle!porn.  Don/Charlie slash.

If I'm too embarrassed to send it to beta, then I think I probably shouldn't post it out on lists or archives or anything, but decided to go ahead and put it on my website.  It's pretty low traffic and the story's labeled, so it shouldn't pose too much of a threat to public safety.  LOL

That done, I think I'll go back to writing in other fandoms for a while.  Since Xenophobia generated no comments or feedback, as in none at all, it doesn't make me want to quickly write more.  With so many story ideas, it's just nicer to write in fandoms that send encouraging feedback.

Not that I'll never write Numb3rs again, mind.  In fact I really quite like what I have written so far in my Atlantis/Numb3rs crossover, so that may be finished at some point.  And you never know, those Eppes boys are just so darn cute they might entice the muse back again.  *g*  Definitely no more tentacles, though!

Well, here's my first attempt at Numb3rs fic, and don't I just jump in at the deep end?  Serious subject, serious Don whumping.

This is posted at my website.  If anyone know of an appropriate archive, please let me know.  (Not, not going there!)

Oh, and this is ostensibly genfic, but if anyone wants to read it as pre-slash, I won't mind!
